I agree with the thoughts on “feminism,” where equality for women is used as an excuse to, just as you say, mirror the worst behaviors of men. Or not just men, but any human being. I just find it hard to wrap my head around equality being equated with the lowest common denominator, that women are only liberated if they cast off good values just because men are “free” to do whatever they want, and then there’s the whole “double standard” argument. I for one think it’s stupid I should lower my standards just because men are perceived to be doing so in general. Also, I feel like I come across too many articles and forums on the internet that advocate physical intimacy and sex to a point that it is almost shameful to not want to do it regularly because then you’ll be causing your partner or spouse a lot of pain. Really, if all I wanted was passion my entire life…I feel like I would just wear myself out with disappointment if I never learned to appreciate simpler things.

Amen and hallelujah. I couldn’t agree more.
Doesn’t even matter if I agree or not these statements ARE true.
My children watched it with me last yr. 9 yr old girl 7 yr old boy ..17 yr old daughter and 21 yr old son. The young children cried n cried to see “Jesus” hurting and unappreciated! It helped them see what our enemy is capable of. And they asked a billion questions and I answered them not as if some Bible beating over the head Christian but as loving and patient and excited about their inquiries as Christ would I believe.
Now they have a visual image of how powerful jesus’s love is. And to be honored to know him daily and grow a closer and closer relationship with Him.! And to keep a loving and repentive heart for ourselves as well as towards others.

Somewhere I read a story of a man in the 1800′s who had a vision of the “future”. I really wish I could remember who this man was (probably will right after I send this to you! You know how it is..) Anyway,in his vision he said that he saw the people of the future living in a world of “gadgets”. People would have these “gadgets” in their homes and with them everywhere they went, and used them every chance they got. They all seemed quite caught up with them, enamored with them, and even “defined” themselves by them.
When read this many years ago, this “vision” didn’t make any sense to me. But now it sure does. Especially the last part of his story, where he said how distressing this was all to witness,
because it was obvious that the people in the future loved their “gadgets” more than they loved each other.
